A casual beach barbecue for swimming, walking, sunset, and simply being together. The current idea is roughly 11 AM–7 PM; details are still taking shape.

The Weekend
Ceremony day
Sunday at the farm
9 AM · Yoga on the Flavor Farm Yoga Lawn.
1:30–1:45 PM · Arrive at roadside parking.
2 PM · Vows, food, cake, dancing, and photos.
Sunset is at 6:17 PM. The farm is off-grid and gets wonderfully dark; around 7 PM is a natural departure, though dancers are welcome to stay.
Day after
Farm & beach day
Walk the farm, pick flowers or fruit, feed an animal, and explore every nook. Around noon we’ll head to Laupahoehoe Beach for pizza, frisbee, and spikeball.

We are so thrilled that you’re considering coming to Hawaii to celebrate with us! It has been a wild ride to get to this point in life, and the sanctity of our commitment to one another is deepened by having those we love participate in the process.
We know the cost of travel and accommodations and time out of your schedule is real!! Please view this invitation as acknowledgement that you and yours are precious to us - you have played a special role in our life to this point, and we know there are more moments to be shared with you in the future whether that’s this one in Hawaii or at some other opportune moment ahead.
We’d be so honored for you to witness our vows, eat with us, dance with us, toast with us, revel in the land with us… and we would love to be able to hug you in person amidst our joy and celebration of family - that’s what you are to us whether by official blood or not.
All that being said, we do NOT want to add any stress to your world. So if the timing to tuck in an expensive trip to Hawaii just doesn’t work, we 100% get it! Know you are welcomed and wanted… and you will be there with us in our hearts regardless :)
Attire & Parking

Sundresses, shorts, and sandals…
We will be outside (unless a crazy Hawaiian storm decides to unleash on us,,, in which case we will all pile into some farm structure with a roof) and please do remember your sunglasses and sunscreen!
Parking:
The road to the Flavor Farm is challenging. So we’re going to have you park along the road right after you turn off the Hawaiian Belt Road/Hwy 19. We’ll have some signs or flags delineating the general vicinity for parking. Plus, one of our support crew will be present to meet you and charmingly schlepp you down to the farm from there.
Hotels/Accommodations
We’d suggest you jump on this aspect quickly. We have set up a group rate option at both the Kamuela Inn and at the Frog Pond Waipio’o Valley as they’re reasonably affordable for the area and also fairly close. Also, you can check AirBnB as little quirky offerings in the area come and go from their listings often.

Frog Pond AirBnB - decor is quirky, but facilities are clean and with kitchens. A beautiful stream and waterfall with impressive landscaping is right out your door. There are multiple cabins on property as well as a house, so an extended group would be fun here.

Airports
Kona has more flights. It’s a super manageable airport and is a solid hour+ drive from our farm.
Hilo is a little smaller and a little closer… more like 40 minutes.

Day Before:
We’re thinking up some sort of a Hapuna Beach bbq plan for those who want to play in the water, walk the beach, just share in a Hawaiian hang out, and breathe in a great sunset. We’ll update this with more details once we figure them out :)

Ceremony Day!
9 am -A talented yogi (who will also be one of the musicians during the ceremony) will lead a morning yoga practice on the Flavor Farm Yoga Lawn for any who would like to partake.
1:30 - 1:45 - Aim for parking in this window, so that you’re on the Flavor Farm by 2
2pm - It all becomes official!! Flow of food, vows, cake, dancing, pictures, sharing time with our people, etc. It gets magnificently dark quickly after sunset (6:17pm on 2/7/27). The Flavor Farm is off grid (read that as not a lot of ways for us to light your way out) so we’re imagining you’ll likely be inclined to head toward your hotel around 7 …. but if you’re busy tearing up the dance floor or just really enjoying the craic (we had to blend a little bit of an Irish flavor in here somewhere) you’re certainly most welcome to hang out as long as you want!
Food: Some of our amazing local Hawaiian friends are helping with the food, so you’ll get to have a luau-ish meal. How lucky are we to have a pig roasting pit to enrich the experience?!

Day After:
Come walk the whole farm, pick some flowers or fruit, feed an animal, and peek in all the nooks and crannies. Around noon, we’ll head down to Laupahoehoe Beach for some pizzas, frisbee and spike ball fun.
